Aim left, shoot low

Golf season has started, and with the third match out of the way, I think you could say I'm starting to get back into the swing of things. Golf has taught me so much throughout high school, and I plan on playing this grand sport for the rest of my life. I have learned to roll with the punches. One of my coaches told me' "dance with the boy you brought." I take this to heart every golf match. There are times where I have a terrible slice, or my drives are a little short, but I make sure to compensate for that. This has luckily translated into my life, and I am able to take what I've got and make something out of it. Golf has also taught me confidence. As a young girl, and even up until the end of my junior year, I lacked confidence. I was hard on myself and never thought myself to be good enough. I have been able to observe great players and what is common among all of them is confidence. They are not cocky and rude, but they know what they are capable of and never question it. This has been something I have come to appreciate. Overall, golf has taught me persistence. Every golfer experiences a period of time where giving up seems like the better option, but because I have wonderful parents who would never let that happen, I have kept with it and have developed a deeper love for the game. I can sum up what I have learned about golf in three words: Golf is life.
