Woah, duuuuude {07/22}

The family woke up around 7 to hit up tunnels beach. Tunnels is known for it's coral reefs and snorkeling--so we went and snorkeled. We had rented snorkeling gear from Bob's Snorkel gear, and proceeded to the destination. Upon arrival we hit up the reefs because according to my dad, "the fish are most active in the morning" I'm still researching to find the validity of the statement, so I don't know if this is 100% true...
Trying to get all the gear on while standing near the water probably wasn't one of the brightest ideas on my part, but after being knocked over and almost losing my goggles to the ocean, I managed to get everything on and in place! Snorkeling itself was awesome! You could almost touch the fish! They were soooo close! Not only that but they were beautiful! The colors and patterns on the fish were seriously unique. It was cool to see the fish-some swam in schools, some swam alone, some swam with completely different kinds if fish. I, being the unlucky person I am, had a leak in my goggles and water began to start to pool around my nose and the bottoms of my eyes, at the same time, a wave crashed over the top of me and salt water went down the snorkel tube, into my mouth, and then I swallowed it..such an unpleasant experience! But seeing the fish was something I won't forget. We even saw a turtle!!!! I got to snap some pictures with my phone underwater thanks to life proof!
Eventually the reefs became crowded and we decided to go get some lunch at bubba's burgers--the burgers were delicious and the fries hit the spot, I don't know if it was because of how good it really was or if I was just crazy hungry, but, it tasted good.
We returned to the condo and lex, bud, and I went exploring! We went for a walk near our favorite statues, and then went to the secret cove we found the other day and watched some guys surf. Nothing crazy spectacular happened, the waves were especially pretty today and the water seemed to be a deeper blue--it was a sight to see-my camera doesn't even do it justice.
Again we returned to the condo, but this time we found our dad waiting for us. He quickly gave us the look and we knew what was going to happen...we were sneaking onto the resort golf course after hours! We each took three balls and scored our best ball. Thanks to luck and my trusty dusty 6 iron, I was able to par the par three and bogie the par 4 that followed it. We quickly got off the golf course and didn't have to use our super fast running abilities to escape, thanks to slow security. All in all, we had a blast of a day!
